big diversion but my mum wants an answer. when i rang her for her b'day yesterday she was more concerned with eggheads and why the local telly went from (supposedly) latest episodes to repeats. apparently she got up to episode with 33 or 34k pds. i told her we're probably a year or two behind UK but i promised to try and find out. can anyone help? |

Fuck me I never thought even this site would stoop to the level of Eggheads! But it is annoyingly addictive. And yes CJ is one of the biggest cunts I've seen on TV for a while. And Daphne is someone I'd like to kick the fuck out off for her " oooh I don't really have a clue on this one so I'll just have to guess. Oooh how surprising I got that one right." Even my mate who NEVER watches quizzes said exactly the same thing last weekend. |

thanks for responses. thats why i love this site - always get more than you wanted. even tho the question had fuck all to do with west ham and if we are gonna beat birmingham. unfortunately i might have to watch eggheads thurs morning as fox are televising 3 games live and ours isn't one of them! |

I must admit sometimes I watch the start of Eggheads and if the contestants come across like normal people I switch off, because I know they won't be able to cut it. |

Very true. In fact, on that subject, therre was a documentary as part of last years Wonderland series on BBC 2 where they caught up with past winners of University Challenge. Most of them are very abnormal and/or tragic people |

They are under instruction to do that. Without it it'd be a 10-minute show with a few faces saying letters - might as well be a quiz in a newspaper.
It can be annoying I agree. Same as the rigmarole on WWTBAM. But there's be no show without it. |

The worst thing about this fucking programme and those arrogant cunts is when they insist on saying in great detail why A or B is not the answer, and then why they think C might be the answer. Example:
'''Well Dermot, I dont think its A because when I was on holiday in Dorset in 1963 I remember quite clearly that the main river was XXX, and so it cant be in Devon. I'm not sure the answer is B because I have a problem in reconciling Northumberland with that name - I'm sure its a southern county. So I'll have to go for C, not because I'm convinced I'm right, but I have to give you an answer of some sort, but I'm not confident at all''
This goes on for about 10 minutes every fucking question. JUST SAY A, B, OR C. |
